Which one cup coffee maker is the best way to brew? Pods, K-cups,or t-disc?
Nowadays single cup coffee maker is so popular. Single-cup coffee grants you (and anyone else in your office) to create one fresh, hot cup of coffee, everytime. Imagine, each time you require a cup of coffee that the coffee is rich and fresh just like you have from a coffee shop, entirely you didn’t have to leave your office to have it. Single serve coffee maker is a technological lead beyond the super automatic espresso machine where a single button can dispense a good espresso. It mixes the advantages of fully automatic with the convenience of producing 1 cup when required.
There are generally three types of single-cup technologies . One uses a pod, which is a circular, mesh-like, bag filled with coffee. The other is called a K-cup, developed by a company called Keurig. And the third ones is t-disc, developed by braun company. Most major single cup coffee brands sell their coffee in either one of both of these systems. The benefits of single-cup coffee are: no measuring–the coffee is pre-measured fresh and hot coffee each time no coffee grinds to throw away clean up is easy no filters.
K-cup
K Cups can only be brewed through the Keurig Machine. K-Cup portion packs are used with Keurig single cup brewing systems to brew a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Each K-Cup is a plastic container with a coffee filter inside. Ground coffee beans are packed in the K-Cup and sealed air-tight with a combination plastic and foil lid. When the K-Cup is placed in a Keurig brewer, the brewer punctures the foil lid and the bottom of the K-Cup and forces hot water under pressure through the K-Cup and into a mug. Keurig licenses its K Cup coffee technology to coffee roasters and tea makers such as Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Diedrich/Gloria Jeans, Timothy’s World Coffee, Van Houtte, Caribou Coffee, Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow Tea Company, Twinings, Tully’s, Coffee People and Newman’s Own.
The Tassimo T-disc.
Manufactured by Braun and brought to you by Kraft, this system has some big names behind its new technology. Individually vacuum sealed discs contain an exact portion of gourmet coffee within a carefully designed filter system. The T-DISC also contains a barcode on the label read by the brewer to indicate which beverage is selected telling the brewer how to prepare the beverage. Because of the way the T-DISCS and brewered are designed, the system has the ability of creating many types of gourmet beverages. Beverage choices include cappuccino, latte, crema, espresso, tea, signature blend coffee and hot chocolate. This system is ideal for a large family who varies in tastes as well as get-togethers and corporate meetings. Selectable brew sizes, replaceable water filter, removable water reservoir as well as dishwater safe parts lend this brew system to be a strong competitor against the others. One very popular model is the Braun Tassimo coffee Hot Beverage System (TA1200) coffee maker. The Braun Tassimo has been given high marks by consumers for its ease of use and cleanup; its convenience; and for the quality of beverage produced. The only drawback is the cost of the coffee pods; but even so, most people who purchase the system report that it’s well worth the extra cost.
Pod coffee.
Coffee pod (also called coffee pads) are pre-packaged coffee beans in their own filter. Senseo is a patented coffee maker which uses these. A court ruled that their patent does not cover the pods, and that other companies may manufacture and sell pods that are compatible with the Senseo system. In non-English speaking countries like Germany and The Netherlands the word pad is used instead of pod. Specially formulated filter paper surrounds freshly ground coffee to create coffee ‘pods’. These units are circular in shape and range in weight depending on manufacturer. The coffee is ground to specific weight and oxygen is removed in the process to ensure maximum flavor and quality. Pods are accepted in a variety of brewers. Brand names like Grindmaster, BUNN, Melitta, KRUPS and Simplehuman are just a few of the manufacturers offering pod machines.
Whether you select Keurig, Tassimo or Pod brewing, you can’t lose! Simply order a brewer, select a variety of coffee and you will be able enjoy a perfect cup of coffee each time you brew.
