Filed under: Articles — admin @ 7:40 pm

If you’re contemplating giving your house or room a makeover, then interesting house decoration is the solution. Equestrian house decor is a popular house decorating style, not only because of the animal’s beauty, but also because of the versatility of available forms of horse decor. If you’re engaged in equestrian home decor, read on for more thoughts and tips. If you think that larger items are overwhelming you could start with little accent items such as placing a figurine on the table you sit at, a Texas star time piece on your wall, bookends that are shaped like horses or art with horse patterns on your wall. You can also erect a large welcome sign or doormat with horse and cowboy design to set the tone or mood of the house.

Other types of mare ornamentation are furnishings idioms like a dynasty-themed drawer chest or armoire in rural styled paint. You can even transform the look of the room with modern track lighting.

As the central point of the room, use the base horse design as an unusual coffee table or side table or place it in a corner for an interesting emphasis. This interesting object can be used as track lighting or you can have a lovely figure of a horse on the shade and when you turn the light on, the shade lights up with stunning western style colors. If you enjoy embellishing your room using tea light tapers and oils, you can obtain a ceramic horse oil lamp or modern track lighting lamp that will burn with the scent you wish, or wrought iron candle holders with horse patterns on them.

You can also hang some horse art in the wall with the size depending on your preference and on the size of the room but if you want bigger designs, you can paint a mural on one wall or use wallpaper with horse patterns. Any cabin-themed home can be decorated with throws, rugs or throw pillows with horse designs. For the room, you can also have a comforter, beddings and pillow cases with interesting design which is perfect for a horse-loving kid’s room and if you add a rocking horse, and your child may never want to leave the room at all!

Horse patterns go well with country style decoration – for a bathroom you could consider a towel bar, tissue holder, shower curtain or rug with an equestrian design. In addition, you could position several decorative tiles featuring a horse motif for your sink backsplash. Horse figures in wrought iron may be used as plant or magazine holders in your kitchen and why not try interesting figures as cabinet door knobs or pulls?

Amazingly, some individuals who incorporate horse decor are not even horse horse riders nor are they of western or country origin, they just simply love the horse form. There are numerous sources of equestrian home decoration, why not try visiting a house furnishings supplier in your locality or you can surf the web for unique pieces to buy.

With so many available horse patterns from which to choose, one design may be perfect to decorate your home using the beauty and grace of our interesting friends.

Utah Physician Jobs FAQ

Filed under: Articles — admin @ 1:27 pm

Q: Should I hire a lawyer to review my Utah physician employment contract?

A: In general, yes. We are not lawyers and do not give legal advice. We have reviewed many contracts and can provide you with feedback as to what we have seen as standard. The choice of a lawyer is critical. Find someone well versed in medical contract law, as well as the state’s laws in which you will practice. Try to find an attorney recommended by someone else. Also, make sure the attorney has enough time to review the contract in a timely manner. Negotiations could be hampered by a slowed response time.

Q: If I am a resident, when should I decide upon accepting a position?

A: As a general rule, the earlier the better. The more time you have to work on license applications, hospital privileges, finding a new home and moving arrangements, the less stress you’ll encounter. Many hospitals recruit for summer positions in the fall and early winter. Don’t think all of the “good” Utah physician jobs are taken by the end of winter. We assist physicians throughout the year because contract expirations occur throughout the year. Don’t worry. Have confidence that the right position will be available. Call us, we are here to help!

Q: Who handles negotiations, me or my recruiter?

A: Whenever possible, your recruiter should handle negotiations for Utah physician practice opportunities. Having a liaison reduces the potential for heated arguments between two parties. Keep in mind, professional recruiters regularly perform this task.

The New Golf Swing

Filed under: Articles — admin @ 11:51 am

Golf is a sport steeped in tradition, and for that very reason, changes in the game are always made very slowly. So the modern golf swing has not gone through much change over the years since Ben Hogan’s diminutive frame and little book defined what a good swing should look like.

All that may soon be changing, though. A couple of respected golf instructors have developed a new golf swing after 20 years of research using real people, science and the latest computer technology. The new swing is called Stack and Tilt. It is so named because you stack all your weight over the ball and keep it there throughout the swing. The only way to effectively do this as your body is swing the club in an arc around yourbody is to “tilt” your torso toward the target.

By keeping the head directly over the ball trhoughout the swing, the golfer mainatins excellent balance and hits the ball with a precise, descending blow which rockets the golf ball off the clubface in an explosion of power. All this is done without the need to take a full backswing.

This swing is simpler, has less moving parts and forces you to hit the ball with a descending blow. A traditional golf swing has many moving parts and each motion is another opportunity for power “leaks” if not done absolutely correctly. By having fewer moving parts, there is less chance that the swing power is wasted in other areas, so all of the force is delivered to the ball.

Much of the stack and tilt golf swing seems to go against everything you’ve ever learned about swinging the club, and that can make it difficult to switch. Old habits are hard to break. But if you take the time to learn the new swing, you may find that it provides everything you need for a super consistent swing and added distance.

Is A Hydrogen Gas Saver The Answer?

Filed under: Articles — admin @ 10:20 am

As gas prices continue their up and down dance, most are looking to find sustainable relief at the pump. Many will tell you to complete the recommended routine maintenance on your car to improve gas mileage and keep your car running smoothly. Some of these maintenance tips include, checking your spark plugs, keeping the correct air pressure in tires and even selecting the correct oil weight to put in your car. These practices can definitely help, but only on a minimal scale. Many individuals are not satisfied with this and are looking for and have found satisfaction in hydrogen gas savers. This gas saver positively affects your gas mileage and as an added bonus will lower your cars emissions.

The gas saver or hydrogen generator gas saver, is a tremendous saver at the pump. The gas saver works by mixing the gases hydrogen and oxygen forming what is known as HHO. This is done with the help of your cars electrical system, a small amount of baking soda and some distilled water, like the kind you would use in your iron at home. It is estimated that only one gallon of distilled water in this system can help produce the equivalent of two thousand gallons of fuel for your vehicle.

The best part is, these generators can be built and installed by you in little time. What this does is it saves on installatin fees. Unfortunately, there are just a few books out there that show you how to do this. Upon finding a guide, it will reveal just how to build one of these generators and also, where you can find the parts. Upon installation of one of these generators, your cars fuel efficiency will rival those of current hybrids.

Also, after the installation, your cars emissions will be lower thus helping the environment and you’ll notice that your car runs more efficiently boosting your gas mileage by up to 70%. Can you begin to realize what a seventy percent boost in your cars gas mileage could mean? Just imagine how much money you could save and what other things you can purchase besides fuel.

Listen, we all know that gas prices are not going to go down anytime in the near future, if not ever. So if your like many and want to save on gas, purchasing a hydrogen gas saver guide may just be what the doctor ordered. We all know that it is a good idea to keep your car maintained and schedule it for routine maintenance but this will only keep it’s efficiency at factory standards. The only way to improve it dramatically is with a little help from recent technology and mother nature.

Scale Model Toy Auto Exhibitions and What You Can Expect – Becoming Popular

Filed under: Articles — admin @ 11:20 pm

It is not difficult to find someone who enjoys scale model car shows, as they are a world wide phenomenon which take place more than once a year. Many people enjoy the scale model car shows of car manufacturers for their size, while others prefer the small and intimate car club shows. Much of the public has a fascination with older cars, however, and for them, the answer is the vintage car show.

New cars are likely the focus of the car show, since the car makers are the ones putting them on in most cases. Because vintage and classic scale model cars draw a more diverse crowd, these types of scale model car shows frequently allow a limited amount of space for them to be put on display as well. These vintage cars are fully restored, much to the delight of the car buffs that love them. All scale model car shows can trace their roots back to a time when cars where put together in a “market”, where customers could pick out a car to purchase. These types of shows are how many car manufacturers sell their new cars. What developed from these ‘temporary’ car show rooms became a little like a competition of today.

The smaller scale model car shows now feature a contest amongst their attendants who want to showcase their vehicles. When attending vintage scale model car shows, those that display their vehicles compete for the joy of having the greatest restored car. For car aficionados this is a big treat as they will be able to see these magnificent cars of the past and also get the chance to meet the people who own and restored them but they can also meet new friends and learn more.

Every inspection is done slowly and carefully to find a winner. The judges look to see if the vehicles are road-worthy, if the engine parts are original, the car exudes the characteristics that defined the original, and if it is clean and rust free. Frequently, because vintage car clubs are responsible for making sure these events take place, people will join them at the shows. There are other perks to membership other than always knowing when the vintage scale model car shows in your area will be, including the ability to learn more about vintage cars, their maintenance, and their restoration.

Fairly inexpensive tickets will need to be purchased to attend any vintage scale model car shows. Why, you might ask, do people enjoy vintage scale model car shows so much? Simply put, many people are put off by the boring bland quality of cars that are produced today, and search for a more fulfilling car in the sensational box cars of the past. Of course, it is fun just to look at the cars, but it is the true car lover’s thrill to see such superior vehicles take their rightful place on display.

Pivot3 Introduces Serverless Computing

Filed under: Articles — admin @ 3:41 pm

At first glance, the concept of serverless computing might seem hostile to the beleaguered server administrator. Pivot3 Serverless Computing by Pivot3 (Palo Alto, Calif.) is a clustered storage solution that simultaneously runs server applications on IP SAN hardware. Is this the end of the server and the end of the need for a server admin? Actually, it’s the reverse.

“This concept allows server managers to take on the management of large-scale storage arrays that are based on the technologies they already know — server hardware, Ethernet and virtualization” said Lee Caswell, cofounder and chief marketing officer of Pivot3. “It’s a great way to leverage server skills into a new area.”

Most SAN hardware is based on proprietary hardware, including solid state memory, batteries and disk arrays. Pivot3 employs its RAIGE software to create a reliable, high-performance SAN made up of many off-the-shelf x86 server hardware appliances running in parallel. Server virtualization software enables Pivot3 to concurrently run its storage virtualization software across all appliances and one additional server application per appliance. Like with conventional server virtualization, you are eliminating server hardware. However, unlike conventional virtualization, there is only one application running per appliance, and it has access to the entire clustered storage array’s bandwidth and capacity. This works because it has plenty of CPU overhead to tap into.

Obviously, this setup isn’t suited to environments where loads of applications are running. But for storage-intensive environments that focus on relatively few applications, it might make sense. Video surveillance, for example, is one area where this approach is getting a lot of play. These days, companies want to store vast quantities of video images and need only a few apps to monitor them.

“In a typical surveillance application, the elimination of stand-alone servers generates savings of 52 percent in rack space, 44 percent in power and 22 percent in cost,” said Caswell. “These servers would not ordinarily be considered for consolidation because they are I/O bound and carry a heavy CPU load.”

Let’s stick with the surveillance example. Normally, companies deploy servers that manage between 16 and 64 cameras. Typically, these servers are something like a Dell 2950 running Windows with a Fibre Channel (FC) Host Bus Adapter (HBA) attached to an external RAID box. In a large application, 40 of these application servers might be tied to a Petabyte of external storage. With Pivot3, all of the 40 external servers can be eliminated, and the applications could be run in virtual machines (VMs) on 40 of the 100 appliances that provide the clustered storage.

As far as “serverless” goes, the server functionality is re-packaged in the IP SAN. However, you don’t have to spend more than $100,000 buying and managing 40 servers. In addition, these machines would require over 40kW of power and gobble up over 2 racks of data center space.

Pivot3 uses a Xen hypervisor running on each appliance. Because only one application runs per node, there is no need to use sophisticated tools to manage VMs. Also, because the underlying clustered storage can tolerate appliance failures as simple RAID failures, it supplies application fault tolerance since applications running in VMs on a specific node can be restarted on a new node in case of a hardware failure.

“The technology is ideal for environments with large amounts of storage and relatively few applications, such as surveillance, medical imaging, video streaming and data deduplication,” said Caswell.
